Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) has successfully launched the seventh Darwin 86, named Alexa. This launch adds to the impressive Darwin Class line, which has been a popular choice since the shipyard began operations in 2010.

Alexa has been customised according to the owner's specific requests to sail for extended periods in high latitudes.
This required enhancing the hull and rudders to cope with icy conditions. The upper deck stern terrace is constructed in steel instead of aluminium, and all floors are heated.
The cockpit can be enclosed to allow guests to enjoy the view even in low temperatures.
Social areas on the main and upper decks feature bespoke furniture and pieces from renowned manufacturers, ensuring both style and comfort.
The crew quarters are located on the main deck forward, next to the galley and a large crew mess. A dedicated staircase leads directly to the wheelhouse on the upper deck.
Additionally, the yacht includes a fourth pilot station on the sun deck and two extra fridges to store garbage during long passages.
Technical Specifications
The new Darwin 86 is powered by twin Man engines, each delivering 500 hp. This power, combined with efficient fuel consumption and a remarkable range, underscores CdM’s philosophy that “good enough” is never sufficient, especially for long-distance, adventurous cruising.
Alexa's specifications include a length overall of 26.10 meters, a beam of 7.43 meters, and a displacement of 195 tonnes.
The yacht can accommodate up to nine passengers in four cabins and four crew members in two cabins.
