There are two kinds of support that keep this project afloat. One is the pure, unfiltered enthusiasm from those who tune into the YouTube channel each week. The other, and perhaps the more vital of the two, is the steady backing from my premium subscribers here on Substack. It's because of you that I can travel, film, and share in such depth the boats that deserve proper attention. So this post is a thank you. A genuine one. What follows is a behind-the-scenes look at my recent trip back to the Netherlands—a trip that, quite honestly, reminded me why I started Yacht Buoy in the first place.

Ordinarily, I fly EasyJet. Not because I particularly enjoy it, but because it's been reliable and, for the most part, efficient. After two years of short-haul flights across Europe and a half-hearted attempt to crack into their elusive loyalty scheme, I gave up. There's a rumour it exists, but I never found the entry point. So now, I've made the switch to KLM. The hope is that the points I earn might actually mean something, especially considering the number of trips I clock up each month. And with that, my first journey under the new banner took me back to the Netherlands to film a boat that I had only recently teased on Instagram.
