If you’re in the market for a serious exploration yacht that’s been meticulously maintained, ZeXPLORER should be on your radar.

This 41m (133’) explorer yacht isn’t just built for luxury—it’s designed to tackle everything from high-latitude cruising to extended adventures at sea. Let’s take a deep dive into what makes ZeXPLORER so special.

A Quick Look at ZeXPLORER’s Journey

ZeXPLORER was originally built in 2013 by Newcastle Shipyards, a reputable builder known for producing tough, seaworthy explorer yachts.

But what really sets ZeXPLORER apart is the massive refit she underwent from 2020 to 2022. This wasn’t just a cosmetic touch-up—she had her hull extended, new drive machinery installed, and a host of engineering updates to bring her up to modern standards.

Now, she’s ready for her next owner with a price tag of $14,450,000 (US Duty Paid).

Built for Exploration

This yacht is all about adventure. She’s ice-strengthened, with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, making her ideal for voyages in the harshest conditions.

Whether you want to explore remote Arctic waters or cruise the tropics, ZeXPLORER can handle it. Her twin Caterpillar C32 engines, derated to 660 HP each, give her a cruising speed of 11.5 knots and a maximum speed of 13.5 knots.

With a 4,500 nautical mile range, she’s built for long-range autonomous trips without the need to refuel often, which means more time spent exploring and less time worrying about logistics.

Spacious and Comfortable Accommodations

One of the most impressive things about ZeXPLORER is her layout. She has six staterooms that can accommodate up to 12 guests, plus room for eight crew members in 4 cabins.

Her spacious interior, designed by Christina Norris, gives off a relaxed, warm vibe thanks to the rich mahogany wood finishes and custom marble bathrooms.

The attention to detail is top-notch, from the white headliners to the plush wool carpeting over black oak floors. It’s the perfect balance of style and practicality—ideal for both private use and chartering.

Stability and Comfort at Sea

If you’ve ever experienced the discomfort of an explorer yacht rolling around in rough seas, you’ll appreciate ZeXPLORER’s Quantum zero-speed stabilisers. These work even when the boat is at anchor, keeping things smooth and steady.

In terms of machinery, ZeXPLORER is powered by two low-hour Caterpillar C32 engines and features custom-engineered soundproofing by Sundown, making her exceptionally quiet, even when running at full steam (a big bonus for an owner thinking about chartering this beautiful boat).

Plus, her 432 gross tonnage provides excellent volume for guests and crew alike.

The Heart of Adventure: Tenders and Toys

Of course, no explorer yacht would be complete without the toys! ZeXPLORER comes with two large 26’ tenders that can be stowed on deck and a well-designed lazarette for storing dive equipment, sea bobs, paddleboards, and other water toys.

Whether you’re planning a diving expedition or just some fun with wakeboards, she’s got the space for it all.

Life on Board

When you step on board, the aft deck welcomes you with a large teak dining table and plenty of seating for 12. It’s the perfect spot for outdoor meals or just lounging with a view.

The swim platform, extended during the refit, offers easy access to the water for diving or launching toys. Inside, the main saloon is spacious and light-filled, with large windows offering panoramic views.

Heading up to the bridge deck, there’s a bright sky lounge for relaxing, complete with plush seating and a big-screen TV.

The sundeck is where ZeXPLORER really shines—there’s a custom 8-person hot tub, a fully equipped bar, a BBQ, and plenty of space for sunbathing or dining.

Whether you’re anchored in a secluded bay or on a long ocean passage, this yacht has all the amenities to keep you and your guests comfortable.
